Day 2 at the MS IDC in Hyderabad

Ravi was back on day 2 covering deployment scenarios in Win 7, following which we made the trip to the Microsoft India Development Center(IDC) in Hyderabad.

Impressive building, is the first thoughts which come to mind when one enters the campus, which I believe consists of 3 such buildings housing different parts of the IDC.

The day began with Srini Koppulu(CVP & Managing Director) of the IDC giving us a through overview of the various activities such as R&D, Product development, Emerging Market Labs projects, being done at the IDC. It was interesting to get to hear about and engage with the various people from the IDC.

The next session I attended was the session by Lisa Feigenbaum, which was a lap around Visual Studio 2010 for C# and VB Developers. She showcased some of the key enhancements in the IDE and had a very cool app which she demonstrated, the Twitter Analyzer(http://blogs.msdn.com/lisa/default.aspx). Her blog provides the source code and it’s quite a cool app. She’s promised to provide the latest version online.

Long conversations were the mantra for the day, which focussed around learning strategies, experience and even more technology. Extremely satisfying! Looking forward to more.
